Default sex, pregnancy and the male

hi, i take 1000 mgs of the extended release depakote and i also take primidone. besides fertility, can my medicine effect the child if my wife becomes pregnant? also my epilepsy is not genetic, but from head trauma. also, do i need to stop my medicine temporarily in order to have a healthy child?

but also, my wife cannot get pregnant, but we may consider invitro fertilization and asking somebody else to carry one child, and if we have more, adopt. so i must ask if there are medicines i can take with my medicines to prevent pregnancy since sometimes a condom will break. including natural medicines.

i found out depakote does not affect sperm as far as child development, only affects the child if woman takes depakote.

So i am still concerned with fertility issues, and possible medicines to take with my medicines to prevent pregnancy, and if primidone can affect child development from my side as her husband.

I don't know the answer, but I bet your wife's gynecologist or your neurologist can give you those answers. Good luck with your quest to have a child.
