My daughter was diagnosed with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum... Are there any other parents who's children have the same diagnosis and wish to speak to someone about? I don't have alot of information and wish to find out more... Thanks...

Hi Charmed,
I don't have agenesis of the corpus callosum but I do understand it's where the right and the left hemisphere of the brain do not connect and it can cause speech problems, seizures, problems standing or walking and in some cases a person may be down syndrome also. ** I wish you and your family only the best and May God Bless You! Dear Charmed3862,
I am also the parent of a child who has ACC. He is completely missing his corpus callosum and he was diagnosed with ACC when he was four months old. He is 16 years old now. *edit* I am happy to share the information I have learned about ACC while dealing with my son's medical doctors and specialists. I hope that you and your daughter are doing well. Sandie Last edited by Jomar; 09-21-2010 at 11:00 PM. Reason: some content removed per NT guidelines |

hello charmed.. I am not a parent but a 37 yr old adult with complete ACC and quite abit of experience living with it. I would be happy to give you advise on how my parents raised me and what has and hasn't helped me with my ACC.

my daughter just turned 24 years old people mistake her for 14 to 16 years old by looks and behavior she's around the maturity level of a 16 -maybe 18 her anger is quick. She had asd closure at 5 years of age and the other diagnosis is colpocephaly she had seizures until 3 years of age. was wondering if anyone else has this observation of their child she is deathly afraid of people in costume and large crowds. Makes seriously bad choices in life and is lacking in some social skills.
