So I got a cold and for a few days started taking over the counter stuff I can take usually with out problems. The cold got worse and settled into my chest and head. Congestion and I are not friends!! So then I woke up this am and had a simple partial but it was longer and seemed more of a motor seizure.
I never like this as it wears my immune system down to start and when it happens when I am sick seems to take more strain on my body. I am feeling fusturated, I do not deal well with colds and so it all seems worse than it really is. But just drained by it all. Thanks for listening to my ramble today. Happy Spring you all! |

Aww, *hugs*. Hope you get to feeling better soon and make sure you ask the pharmacy rep if you can take whatever OTC cold medicine it is with your AED's as some of them do not mix well and can end up triggering seizures.
Get well soon!

Hi Cedar,
I just got over a bad cold and then the stomach flu. I had my flu shot but I guess it didn't help a bit. Each time I get a cold or virus I always end up having more sz. sometimes it's do to the over the counter med I take which slows up the AED's going through my bloodstream and other times I don't take anything but I still have sz. because the chemicals in my body are messed up. The best thing for you to do is to drink a lot of hot fluids and rest. I hope you feel better soon. Take care and May God Bless You! Sue |
