Default Questions and new symptoms

Do seizures change over time? become more intense?

Has anyone ever given their child an alarm or something to alert others they are having a seizure?

How do I leave her alone? Im scared!

My daughter (6 yrs old) was diagnosed with epilepsy in July. She has had focal seizures in her face, mouth, arms, legs, hand and feet. Usually they arent too bad. She remembers everything and can usually talk when they are happening.

Yesterday she had a "big" one. For us, it was big. She couldnt speak. She was just making a gutteral noise. She was drooling. Her head kept jerking backwards and her one eye (right) was rolling around. She bit the inside of her cheek. Her face was also spasming on the right side. When I asked her what she remembered, she didnt remember much. She was also a little slow to recover. Usually she bounces right back like nothing happened and remebers the entire event. Up until then she had had a bunch of tiny seizures in her face that afternoon. Then again after the big seizure. About 12 in total. This never happens!

I called the doctor because we had taken her off meds (with drs ok) back in March after a 3 day EEG. They knew she was still having seizures but they were very mild. The dr is now putting her on Lamictal.

This morning she had another "big" seizure. This just doesnt happen with her. She again couldnt speak. Her head was jerking back and she was drooling. My son was with her and he came running.

Im scared to leave her alone. What if they get worse (since they have already gotten worse from where they started)? Has anyone ever given their child an alarm or something so they can let people know this is about to happen?

Why are the seizure changing and getting worse. Nothing has changed in her enviroment. No added stress. No new foods.

Im just scared! If anyone has any advise it would be welcomed.

Thank you!!
