Default Trileptal

Yesterday I saw my incredible neuro ... she sees only adults with e .... that I've seen for several years.
Of course, her records show that I've been taking Trileptal since it was introduced. She said it did damage to bones and it was necessary for me to take Vitamin D and calcium suppliments.
So yesterday evening I went to Walmart and bought a big bottle of each.
Have you heard or read this?

Hi Wren,

I took trileptal a few yrs. ago and I never heard a word from my Dr. or pharmacist that it would cause bone loss. I do know that trileptal can cause kidney stones so be sure to drink a lot of fluids each day. Also DO NOT eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice because the enzymes in the grapefruit will mess up the trileptal. If you burn when you're outside be sure to put on a sunblock because trileptal can cause a person to get a good sunburn in a very short time. You might want to call your pharmacist to get the facts about trileptal and bone loss to be sure. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!
