Okay so I did taper them slowly enough. I'm not sure what the problem was then. But it did happen after lyrica.

are these symptoms of a psychic simple partial seizure or something else?
I hope they can help you and find what is causing your problems, I am new to this web site and it is comforting to not feel so alone with my problems.
I have just been diagnosed with partial seizures after almost 3 years of tests and different medications. I thought I was going crazy and was scared to tell anyone or a doctor about my symptoms but I could not take it any more.
The neurologist I see tells me that since with all of the scans, MRI's, EEG's etc. that I have had that the only thing that can be causing my problems is a small tumor that they cannot see. I asked him about diet, vitamins and hormones. He said none of that will help or effect my partials. In my case not to not drink too much alcohol and get regular and good sleep. I told him that I have a couple glasses of wine with dinner and he said that is just fine.
I am quite frustrated. Also I own a business and live a far distance from it so having to find rides there and back is very difficult and stressful.

take care,
Kay

I had the appointment with the neurologist. He seems to think they're nonepileptic seizures or events that are probably psychological in nature. I feel rather dismissed. He's sending me for an EEG though

snowwhite,

What kinds of physical and/or emotional traumas have you experienced in the past few years? Have you had any high fevers, neck injuries, general anesthesia, major diet changes, food poisoning, drug reactions, or anything out of the ordinary?

snowwhite,

I hope you have a record of all the medications they have tried on you. Psycho-active drugs have a history that is all over the place. There are web sites that discuss the risks they can have on the brain. I have had 2 meds suggested that I refused to try. Gabatril and Seroquel both sounded too risky for me. So, keep a good journal of your medical and drug history.

How old are you? Did you ever have any strong reactions to vaccines growing up? Do/did you drink a lot of milk growing up?

My best to you.

Default Hello snowwhite

Just a late welcome to you. I hope you get some responces. Have you been diagnosed for sure with epilepsy? My daughter had something like this, a cross between a panic attack, and kind of a freezing moment, where she could not comprehend things. It was triggered by stress. She was never DX'd as epilepsy, but rather psychosematic, (stress related) kind of disorder. Hope you get into see a good neurologist, and tell him or her about this. My daughter grew out of this, as she coped better with stress. I do wish you all the best. ginnie
