Default Frying Butter And Tremendous Pain

Since I was a little child, I've had what I think are seizures which comes from noises such as those produced by frying pans (frying butter and oil types), computer fans and other buzzing and stressing sounds.

When I get these so called seizures, I get extremely dizzy and external perception becomes changed in almost all of the cases. Things I look at either becomes bigger in mass or smaller in mass.
Also, as I have these seizures, I very quickly get more seizures from other also stressing sounds.

I now have 'psychotic symptoms,' meaning whispering voices that I hear constantly, which, as I personally know to be true, came from these seizures as a little child.
Though, as a child, these voices, as well as the seizures, only came 1-10 times a year.

I also experience extreme dissociation from the external world as of now, and this was also triggered from childhood seizures.

The psychiatrists I talked to at a mental institution were careless and dismissed this as common schizophrenia.

I've heard this could be related to autism, rather, and not psychosis. Is this correct, or does anyone have any other ideas for what it might be?

Currently experiencing one of those seizures and, man, how awfully painful they are. Can barely spell properly.

Wink Nice to meet you!!

SomeUserName,

It is great to have you come and be with us. You will fine a great number of dear friends to listen when you are in need of ears. You will find out we are supportive and relaxing place.

You should see an Epileptologist (Dr. specializing in epilepsy) at an Epilepsy Center which are usually at University or large hospitals. Your need to cut out the carbs and starch foods because they will trigger seizures. Start keeping track of your seizures by writing them down on a calendar, by doing this the Dr. may see a pattern in your seizures. Get yourself on vitamin B12 500 mcg. once a day. Also avoid very bright light, like at a theater, the flashing can bring on a seizure. Just close you eyes and turn your head at that time.

Please keep us up to date on your situation. Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi SomeUserName,

What you are describing sounds like audio sz. meaning that certain sounds are triggering the sz.
In regards to hearing voices this could be a simple partial (aura) sz. I often will hear one word repeated over and over again when this happens to me and then I go into an absence (petit mal) or complex partial sz.
Darlene gave you some great advice in regards to seeing an Epileptologists they can be a big help to people who have epilepsy because they understand it much better and know how to control it very good with AED's (sz.meds).
Cut back on caffeine also. Sometimes autism can lead to epilepsy along with the other following things that can cause epilepsy: heart problems, drug & alcohol abuse, trama, difficulty at birth, lack of oxygen, brain tumor, scar tissue
on the brain, a bad blow to the head, concussion or a bad scare. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!
Sue

Thanks for the comments. I'll make sure to seek a doctor as soon as possible - but that'll be in a year's time or so, since I've got quite a lot of appointments to take care of. I'd wish doctor's appointments wouldn't have to take 1-2 months after taking contact with one, but I'll have to live with these circumstances in my country.

Has always bothered and scared me, and as a child I thought I was the black sheep (the insane) amongst the white sheep (the normal). Perhaps this is not so much the case, reading that others have the same seizures from sounds as I do.
