Default Strange Seizure

Hi Folks,

Today I think I had the weirdest sz. I've ever had in 41 yrs. and I'm not sure what kind of sz. this was. I was getting ready for work and showering when the next thing I know I find myself on the shower floor and I hit my head and the right side of my body pretty good. Then my body was shaking but I was conscious and when I tried to get up off the floor I couldn't I would try to make my body move but it wouldn't. It reminded me of my aunt who had MS and had a hard time trying to move. I've never had a sz. like this in my life and I'm still not sure if it was a complex partial or a tonic clonic sz. If any of you have any idea what kind of sz. this was I would greatly appreciate any info. and I thank you for all of your help. I wish all of you only the best of luck and hope you never have this kind of sz. in you life. May God Bless You!

Hi Lisa,

I'm feeling a lot better today just a little sore from where I fell but that's to be expected. I have a feeling that I had a severe complex partial sz. but I'm not sure. Anyway I'm just greatful that it wasn't any worse. I hope all is going well with you and Dean and I wish you only the best. May God Bless You!

Sue,

So sad to hear what you went through. I remember back when I was going into one I would fall down like that. One time I was going out to our car from the store and ended up falling down right behind a car. Lucky for me my granddaughter was there with me. I am not sure what type it was, but it only started right before the surgery.

Hope are still feeling better, probably little sore still. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Darlene

Its a complex partial. Ive NEVER explained it to my dr because I know they will think im nuts. Its only happend twice. But ill go in and out of consiousness throughout the seizure. So aparently they both lasted around an hour because they couldnt controle it without end up needing both times to end up intubating me and using propofol to just shut my brain down, but it didnt seem that way to me. I dont usally feel anything, and even though i can hear everything, i cant speak, i cant focus, i cant move. My thoughts are usally odd too while having them, disoirnented. Im sorry you had such a bad one because it is scary no doubt!

Hi tos8,
I'm so sorry you have had to go through the same type of sz. I am wondering if I had an atonic sz. (drop sz.) I'm having a sleep study done tomorrow (Friday) and I'm checking it out to see if I have sleep apnea or possibly heart problems which in turn can trigger sz. as I'm sure you know.
Thanks for all of you help and support and understanding, I greatly appreciate it. Here's wishing you only the best and May God Bless You!

Hi Darlene,

The sleep study went well and I will have the test results in about 2 wks, if not sooner. The Tech had to come into my room about 3-4 times during the night to make adjustments to the electrodes on me but other than that all went well. Thank you for your concern and consideration. I wish you only the best and May God Bless You!
