Hi twitterpated,

Welcome to the forum! I've been here for many yrs. and everyone here has been a great help to me and I've learned a lot from others.
I've had epilepsy for 41 yrs. and I had 2 brain surgeries done to help reduce my sz. back in 1990 and 1993. I started having sz. (seizures) when I was 10 yrs. old (51 now) and I've tried so many AED's (seizure meds) but not a single one of them stopped my sz. it was a couple of yrs. ago I had a DNA test done and I found out I was drug resistant to all AED's out on the market right now. One thing that has helped me is taking Vitamin B12 once a day this had reduce my sz. greatly.

Before I had brain surgery I was photosensitive and certain colors would trigger a sz. for me. It was then that my Epileptologist ordered a special e.e.g. to be done on me where they would flash different color strobe lights one at a time and when this was done they found out the colors that were triggering sz. for me were flourscent green, bright white like when the sun shines on the snow, and the color amber. After I had my brain surgery done I no longer had this problem with colors triggering sz. for me. I was told before the surgery to look at dark colors if I felt a sz. start to come on and that often helped stop the sz. I wish you only the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Sue
