Thumbs up Welcome to the gain!!

Doris,

Nice to see you have us here in this forum.

My advice to you is to start seeing an Epileptologist at an Epilepsy center you can find these Drs. at large hospitals or university hospitals these Drs. specialize in epilepsy. Try taking vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day will help. Stay away from anything with nutra sweet because the nutra sweet causing more electrical activity in a persons brain and can trigger sz. sometimes. Also while you are at a theater close your eyes and turn your head, it can cause a seizures. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Darlene

Hi Doris,

Darlene gave you some great info. I've had 2 brain surgeries done to help reduce my sz. on the right temporal lobe and taking vitamin B12 has been great reducing my sz. I also have just started using coconut oil with 100% virgin oil in it and it helps build up ketones in my body which has reduced my sz. greatly.
I've had epilepsy for 42 yrs. now and even after the surgery was done I still have a few and now I have 2 bi lateral lesions on the right and left temporal lobe along with the frontal lobe. I found out this was caused by having so many sz. over the yrs. My Epileptologist wants to start me on medical marijuana if it passes here in NY state so I figured I would give it a try. I have a cousin who has had grand mal sz. since she was in her teens and she is almost 80 yrs. old now so I don't think the epilepsy will shorten a persons life as long as the person takes good care of themselves. Here's wishing you only the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Sue
