Hey Jen. I really think you should discuss this with your doctor (or if you have, get a second opinion). The feelings you're having could be auras or different types of seizures meaning the medication isn't working, or you could be having negative side effects. There's many options, but after 3 weeks you should feel a bit more comfortable, not worse.

I really suggest you discuss this with your doctor as soon as possible. Have they tried any AED's on you (sorry if I forgot), like Trileptal, Keppra, etc.?

I am curious - did they titrate you gradually to this medication
or slam you suddenly on this medication? I know some individuals
can develop some reaction to benzodiazepines. if they're slammed
on to it and not gradually introduced to it, but as Ellie stated, I would
notify your Neuro ASAP - if you're not getting any response from
him/her ... THEN CALL YOUR PCP ASAP and alert him/her, don't wait!

Thumbs up

Dear Sharon Hi , no it was very low dose , 5mg once a day nightly,
it's ok dr said stop taking it , and i have and ive had no reaction, to stopping it. i feel much better now. worked all weekend , carring heavy production equipment for the band, it's all good , no tachycardia, no wobbling alot of stiffness which has been with me for 12 or so years, legs are very stiff though! so its very very strange. i dont know what to think, but i have spoken to some other support groups brain talk comunity and such, maybe its not E or ataxia, maybe it's silent migrane so i suppose i'll just take every thing ive learned from all of you wonderful people to my neuro, who i havent met yet , but my doc say's she's the best so ,alls good. but if i have any side effects with out the valium , i will most definatly go back to the dr.
hugs to all. i'll say a preyer for you all tonight. jen
