Default Epilepsy Foundation and NBC

I have something that I want to share with everybody, because it was something that surprised me. This morning, I received a return call from one of the writers at the main office of the Epilepsy Foundation of America. I was informed that the Epilepsy Foundation is currently working with the NBC station in the subject matter pertaining to Al Roker’s comments on the Today Show, which was aired on national television earlier in this month of June.

I had already known about the online audio file for Al’s joke about epilepsy, but did not know anything about the audio file for Al’s apology for his joke about people with epilepsy. Both of these audio files can be located at http://media.putfile.com/Al-Roker-Jo...the-TODAY-show; and at http://media.putfile.com/Al-Roker-Ap...-on-TODAY-show

At least we now know that the Epilepsy Foundation and the NBC station are currently working together in order to bring epilepsy awareness to the national public. We'll just have to wait to see what the results are going to turn out to be.

Hi Bruce,
I'm glad the Epilepsy Foundation is checking into this matter with NBC. I sent Al Roker a note asking him how he would like it if he was in our place. I also let him know I was licensed with the FCC and that I can put him on report. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!

Default al roker

The epilepsy foundation and nbc are using time to soften the effect of al's comments-remember he had a lot to say about Imus.Time will soften feelings and nbc will blow smoke up epileptics *** with a half hearted attempt to say they are sorry-maybe a 1 hour special. If the epilepsy foundation gave a crap about us they would DEMAND his immediate firing to the sponsors. The resulting backlash would bring so much attention to epilepsy.I believe in free speech but by Als own admision to how bad Imus was Al has volenteered to sacrifice his job so no tears should be shed for him.Had he not said what he said about Imus his appology would be good enough for me.
The right thing to do is fire him and the foundations had the power, sadly they chose a softer route-maybe they will take the political low road on other issues like the FDA approvals for drugs-they don't have your back or Al Roker would be gone.
You know those 10 ladies Imus said that stupid stuff about-somebody steal their Ipods and publish the song list-no suprise the verbiage there would curl your toes

how many epileptics have songs about flailing around on the ground on their ipod.

The epilepsy foundation should except nothing less than Als firing-the cowards won't-trust me.
