Hi everybody
Boy am I glad I found this. Well as most of you know back in May I started to decrease my meds and then in June I spent a week in the hospital for a study. I made it, I didn't have a seizure. I thought I was on my way. Last Monday my worst fear came true, not only did I have a GM, I had it while I was driving. So now I'm worse off than before. I remember having a sensation take me over when I was making a left off of the main highway onto a side road. The next thing I know I woke up in the back of an ambulance on a backboard. My son is a volunteer firefighter and I recognized the person standing over me and said his name. I said I was Robbie's mom, he immediately called Robbie on his cell phone to say he had his mom and was on the way to the hospital. I ran off the road and into a sign at a gas station. Somehow I got stuck on a curb but my foot was stuck on the gas pedal. My mail lady jumped into my car and threw it into park and took the keys. And it just so happened when I come flying across the intersection I fly right in front of the ambulance who was going on another call. I can't even begin to say how lucky I am, I didn't hit the gas pumps or the people at the gas station. Hi my name is Michelle and I have Epilepsy and I will learn how to live with it for once and for all. Thanks for allowing me to vent. ![]() |
