Default Anyone hear of or experienced this?

Our 37 year old son suffered a brain hemorrhage as a result of a depth electrodes study that was done to access the viability of surgery for seizure control.
Following this hemorrhage he has suffered almost daily staring spells that last anywhere from 2 hours to 8 or more hours.
His neurologist and neurosurgeon have not been able to identify a cause or a cure.
Has anyone else had any experience with this?
Once in a stare his day is lost until he falls asleep and comes out of it.

Would be interested to hear from anyone about your experiences you may have had.

Hi Suzanne

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I am sorry to read about your son.

Have the health professionals he has seen made any helpful suggestions?

With care.

He has had his brain tumour since 10 and he is now going to be 21

With him things just worked themselves out to be honest very scary at the moment. He wouldn’t do staring however my son has had really weird things go on that has directly effected his lifestyle.

Hi Kiwi

When his Timor gets to a certain size or it impedes him they go in and resection as much as they can without leaving him disabled from the neck down. He has done 70 rounds of chemo in the past and it grew the tumor. So he no longer will be ever to receive chemo again.
