Default Weather Temperature Causing Seizures?

Hi Folks,
As most of you know I've had E. for 34 yrs. but this yr. I noticed that since the cooler temperatures have started in Sept. I've been having sz. just about every day. The weather has never affected me having sz. before but I was wondering if it could possibly be do the the cooler weather temperatures that's making me have more sz. Any info. would be greatly appreciated and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. May God Bless You All!

Sue,

I am just oppisite of you. The hot weather brings on bad times for me. In the summer I range around 5 in the summer per month and in the winter about 2.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for all of the info. I'm sorry that the weather bothers some of you when it comes to having sz. I spoke with my epi's nurse today and I found out that my cp sz. have now lead to TC sz. even after 2 surgeries that is what has caused my sz. Many yrs. of cp and absence sz leading into TC sz.
Here's wishing you all well and May God Bless You!

Default Shake That Seizure: Weather & Seizures

Hello All,

My name is John Coyle and I run a non-profit corporation that is just for studying the correlation between Weather & Seizures. Please have a look at the website, which if googled you will find as STSEpilepsy and see if you find any information there to be helpful. We have a group of about 200 strong who are all suffering from this; and we also have many members participating in the research to maybe find a drug that can help!

Cheers,

John Coyle

Sorry honey - I've lost control of my seizures, which I've had surgery for, as well. LOTS of best wishes for you here!!

Default having more seizures

Hi Sue,
As for having more seizures, that can come from emotions for some. Then over time it's just if your seizures haven't been controlled, the abnromal electrical activity kills brain cells. Over the years that amount is high enough it can either increase the amount, or make the seizures worse. As for me, it went both ways they increased, and got worse from simple partial to petit mal, and having over 100 per month instead of 2 to 5 per month.
