Hi cazzie,
This doesn't sound like a sp sz. to me it sound more like a myoclonic sz. I have had them a couple of times and they always happen when a peson goes to bed or when they first wake up in the morning. A person is concsious during this type of sz. but their body usually the arms and legs are jerking around and the person can't control it.
During a sp sz. a person is conscious but they just might have a nervous feeling in their stomach, see colors in their eyes, or smell strange odours. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!

Sue
