a Psychiatrist! I only had experienced that maybe 4-5 times in my entire life and I have to agree with you 1000000%, not only is it painful, it's worse than Carpal Tunnels and freakier than "hell on earth", and the fact that it grew on you and you couldn't STOP IT or even worse control it! And you're absolutely right about feeling "electrocuted" - I never could find that word to describe it. THANK YOU ELLIE for the explanation - I thought I was loosing my mind back then when it happened. I know what Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is, already had surgery to correct it, and I know I'm supposed to have surgery on the other side but like me, I HATE surgery, I'll put it off as long as I can ... but I can assure you and everyone ... THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME - PERIOD! (I am not yelling - I am putting an emphasis there)

Hi my daughter is currently suffering from this and we to were told to see a psychiatrist. She gets these intense feelings like she is being electrocuted and it is not in just one are of the body and when it happens what ever part it is happening in locks up, shakes and she is unable to move it or control it from the movment, she also gets dizzy and when it happens in her legs she falls down. Can anyone tell me what this may be?

Hi Amy,
I'm no neuro but it sounds like what is happening to your daughter might be a clonic sz. that has happened to me. I will be fine and then my body will start shaking and I fall to the floor I'm unable to control the shaking and my neuro put me on the drug Keppra and since then I haven't had this happen to me once. You might want to see if this will help your daughter. Wishing you and your family the best and May God Bless You! Sue |
