Default VEEG Diary

I couldn't think of a better title name. Keep in mind, this is all pending my insurance approval. However, if it is approved - I will be going in on Monday for a VEEG which will last 2-5 days. I normally can't last 30 minutes without a few seizures going off for my EEG's so I assume this one won't last 5 full days. I do what they want me to, I even tried to cheat and 'pass' one once and still seized.

Anyway, I thought to myself. What an excellent time to annoy the crap out of the staff! I figure since I'm being recorded, I will sing in the bathroom. But aside from showing them how annoying I can be when bored, I plan to do some work for us here.

In my days checking out Epilepsy forums, I always come across new people wanting VEEG information. With the permission of The Epilepsy Center here and the hospital staff, I get to keep a blog of my events.

I will be bringing my camera, laptop and journalist persona.

They have agreed to answer my questions, too. So what I am going to be doing is this.

Taking pictures of each step, which I plan to include a picture of myself with my glued on wires. I'll also try to get one of the readers, too. During the VEEG there will constantly be two people across the room from me reading my EEG scan the entire time. I feel sorry for these people in advance, because I'm going to not hold back one bit when I slam them with questions I always wanted answers to.

Anyway, I'm going to get pictures of the room, the tools, the people and things of the like. Get answers to those questions we never ask and more. Hopefully, they aren't too cruel on the sleep deprivation part because it may ruin my plan. I'm rather cranky when you take away my food and sleep. They are also taking me off of my medicine for the entire duration of my testing.

I'll do my best to gather as much information as possible, so if we have any new people come here or even our current members wanting some up close and personal VEEG info. I will be able to have it up and read by next weekend.

I'm allowed to bring my computer, so as long as their internet isn't too crappy I will be able to continue to post and all of that stuff (when I am awake and not annoying the staff).

Let me know if you want me to ask anything!
