Nervous I am new to the boards and just saw this post. Did you find a doctor? If not, although I live in AZ I go to the LA area to see my new doctor and I like him a lot so far. Let me know if you need his info.

No, Holdingon, I never found a specialist in chronic fatigue. The closest I got was a referral to an endocrinologist.
I'm off doctors for the moment. Every so often, I have to take a break. The medical profession has become a frustrating enterprise. All they want to do is run the tests and treat the tests. They have no concern for the patient. And I remain unconvinced that there is no difference between the patient and the test. But PM your doctor's name anyway and I'll hold on to it. Thanks. |

I had my thyroid checked and was told it was normal. Still, I thought I would get a second opinion, so I made an appointment with an endocrinologist. Ninety days later, I got to see him. He said, "Well, we'll have to do these tests all over again." In other words, there is no such thing as a second opinion anymore. Everyone starts from Square One, everyone does their own tests, and everyone (except me, of course) makes money. I didn't see any reason to start again with the endo, tho I can always go back, if I change my mind.

Am I the only one who would also like to know the name of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(not Chronic Fatigue) doctor in LA. Why keep it a secret, they are pretty rare.

Dr. Karima Hirani in Los Angeles is a integrative medicine md who "treats" chronic fatigue and fibro. Here is a link http://www.drhirani.com/articles/dr-...proach-to-cfs/ . There is a video there also. Good luck in finding the right doctor.

Thankfully, you got a name. I was going to mention that I have several friends who are being successfully treated for mulitple autoimmune disorders to include Fibro and Chronic Fatigue by a physiatrist.....not a psychiatrist
