The pain play ring round the rosie. :)I found several things that help and here is my suggestions: 1) Pain a Trate (ointment that stinks, but stops pain in minutes) 2) Bath Therapy (you soak in this) 3) Play music that you like that takes you back to a happier place in time. Motown music does this for me. 4) Take a nap daily. Rest when you are tired no matter what needs to be done. A nap can prevent (sometimes) a longer crash and burn time. 5) Find a good Chiropractor if you can afford this or a massage therapist if you can afford one. 6) Find something to laugh about. Laughter often lifts depression, makes us happier and happy thoughts will increase pain endocrines in the body. 7) Pray and meditate. I keep Chicken Soup for the Soul, Guideposts and upbeat Happy Books that I can read around when I can't sleep. Puzzles and other pursuits will keep the brain active when the body can't be.
