Question My feet hurt

My brain isn't remembering from the past, but does anyone here get soreness/pain on the bottom of their feet? Especially in the mornings?

The bottoms of both my feet are killing me, especially my right, and particularly my right heel.

And I'm going on a nice trip in less than 2 weeks and plan to do a lot of pounding the pavement sightseeing.

Actually...this weekend on Saturday night I babysat my grandson. He wouldn't go to sleep and I went in to calm him down 5 times before he finally went to sleep for the night. Anyway, I sat and rocked him for a LONG time and when I rock him, I always cross my left leg over my right knee. Well, since then, my right heel is in excruciating pain. My feet were sore before, but not like this.

I do get pain on the bottoms of my feet (along with the rest of my feet, yay, fibro). I am told by my massage therapist that I likely have plantar fasciitis. I've been working really hard on getting the knots out by standing on a hard rubber ball and rolling it under my foot.

I also have neuropathy-type pain when I first get up. It really hurts when I stand up for the first time in the morning. It does generally wear off after I've been up for awhile.

Maybe sitting with your legs crossed is aggravating a nerve or something? I can't cross my legs anymore because it makes my feet go to sleep. I have rather crummy circulation.

Make sure you bring some cushioned, well broken in shoes with you on your trip. Nike walking shoes (tennis shoes made for walking) work best for me.

Good luck to you.

Thank you both!

Thanks Fanfaire. Guess I'm looking for confirmation on that. You helped me remember that in the past when the fibro flares, when I get up in the morning my feet hurt to stand on. It lessens as the day goes on.

You also reminded me that in the last couple years I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and man that stuff is painful! I think I just put way too much pressure on it with grandson because of the force on my right leg. It's a lot better but still there.

And thanks for the tip about those Nikes. When I can afford it I will definitely get a pair. Maybe not attractive for work dress, but oh well!

I'm basically falling apart lately. A resurgence of migraines, ulcerative colitis (with lots of bleeding) reared it's ugly head (or would that be butt, heh). I see the gastro on Monday and in the meantime upped my Asacol to 9 pills a day. My god, a 30 day supply (without my insurance, thank god I have that) would cost $385.99!!!!!! That's for 270 pills. 270 in one month. Oi. I suspect on Monday he'll put me on Prednisone, but don't know.

Sacroiliitis, big flare. Just got back from pain clinic for bilateral injections and those have most always been effective.

Anyway, are we havin fun yet!!!
