Hi Megan,
I am new here and I have all of your symptoms I am here because of the neuropathy. A fibro group I belonged to had very little neuopathy, but the joint pains muscle pains foggyness fatigue, seemed to hit nearly everyone. CFS and Fibro also tend to go hand in hand. My doctor believes my neuropathy was from my diabetes, I tend to think its another bit of Fibro myself. Don't worry about your ferritan levels, with your hemoglobin right where it belongs, your ferritan will be fine.. I say this not as a doctor but as someone who gets both tested very very regularly. I also have hemochromatosis so I need to have a pint drained every few weeks |

Hi Megan:
I was thinking about starting a new thread when I came across yours. I also have PN. It started in my hands and worked it's way to my elbows and shoulders. Then 6 months later, it started in my feet and worked it's way up to my hips. Then about 6 months ago, I started having terrible headaches and fatigue. I can't sleep for more than two hours at a time. It flares up and stays with me for weeks at a time. This time I also have a sore throat and swollen glands. I have memory issues and difficulty concentrating. I feel like I'm in a fog. My joints also hurt, but I'm not sure if that is PN because they started to hurt before the onset of fatigue. When I have my period, my symptoms are alot worse. Both had distinctly different onsets. I had no issues with fatigue or concentration before 6 months ago. I asked my GP about this, but she said the two do not run together. |

Finally... people with similar! The cycling pain. It can stick in a place for seconds, or a day or more, then *poof*... it's gone.
It doesn't quite fit into any of the categories... no tender spots of fibromyalgia... the neurologist says maybe it's a variant of chronic fatigue syndrome, others say maybe ME... I say... would someone please just give me a NAME for this bizarre stuff that's going on. Chronic joint pain (occasionally)... sharp pains at other times, muscle aches, lumps appearing and disappearing on soles of feet (just feel them when I'm standing)... pressure feelings and as if hands, feet, forearms get clamped... muscle stiffness... it can last moments, or days, and it's driving me nuts!
