Hi Everyone,
I am having a horrible time with fatigue at work. I am not able to stay awake and am falling asleep in meetings and such so this is becoming a real issue. I have been getting an additional 5-6 hours of sleep each day on the weekend but it just never seems to be enough. I have talked with my doctor about this just once so far and he said that most of my medications cause drowsiness (naturally). So, I can decrease dosage if I want to. Well, I'm on what helps the most with the pain. I'm on Neurontin, Baclofen, something for inflammation, Tramadol and Celexa - also pain patches. I decreased the amount of Baclofen, but didn't help in the least. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of what to do for horrible fatigue. Thanks. |

I just stared taking CoQ10 and it seams to be helping me. I have REALLY bad afternoon fatigue so I take the CoQ10 in the AM and again around 1pm (the fatigue was hitting me around 2-3pm). https://prohealth.com/Shop/product.c...PH73/loc/SFPCP

this article addresses: fatigue & drowsiness
(better than I--tried & lost prior reply to you) Note: descriptions/differences, causes and conditions (thyroid) , Sleep disorders such as Sleep Apnea, RLS (Restless Leg) & Narcolepsy .http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/003088.htm article did NOT get into vitamin & other deficencies that may be culprit. Fatigue has been a BIG problem for me; long suspected VIt B12 deficency that was eventaully confirmed by tests. Despite taking vitamins & injections of B12 did not improve. NT forum for Vitamins supplements has lots of info-- I"ve learned much there. thanks to informed & experienced members I'm taking MethylB12 which is better absorbed. also added other vitamins & supplements such as Magnesium Citrate. again, type/form of vitamin or supplement can be critical. encourage you to research this more... as well as other conditions that may be causing your problems. stimulant" meds like PRogival- are also prescribed for Fatigue & EDS-excessive daytime sleepiness. Pain & neuro Sx that get worse at nite can also be causing sleep disruptions. Non-restorative sleep is common complaint w/ FMS--even when do sleep wake feeling unrefreshed, tired and drag thru day w/ impairments--on all levels-physical, mental, emotional.... that become vicous cycles of fatigue, EDS, more pain & dysfunction hope you find what you need to improve quality of life.... SLEEP is vital |

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would let all of you know what has happened. I saw my primary care physician and he wanted me to get a sleep study. I went on Wednesday. The test showed that I have severe sleep apnea where I stop breathing over 100 times in 1.5 hours. I also have huge tonsils so I may need to get them out also. Atleast now I have some explanation for my fatigue. It is horrible. I'm still falling asleep at my desk and such, but I haven't received my CPAP yet. It will be an adjustment but I have some hope that I won't be so tired. I don't feel that this will totally get rid of the fatigue, but atleast I'm on the right track. |
