Default New here...where to start?

I have had mid back pain, primarily on one side for 10 years. It flares up, but never gets better. I have tried PT, acupuncture, have had a MRI, and then was referred to Pain clinic who said I had Myofascial pain and needed trigger point therapy. I found a trigger point therapist in my area and went to many sessions, but gave up because nothing was really helping and no one has been able to relieve the main point of pain. I would like to try some injections or deep dry needling. I think that if someone could just get in there and manipulate the "spot" that hurts the most, it would be better. Where do I turn for this? I don't want to start over and spend tons of money again without any relief. How can I find someone who can do this without going through everything else again?
Thanks

Hi AKB.

Have you also checked into a good chiro? Never did like them and quit going until my massage therapist recommended a relatively new guy here. I adore him. He doesn't twist me around and crack things up. he uses the Activator method and really helped several of my problems. Between him and my massage therapist they've managed to work out a couple of major problems for me.

My therapist has theories about my fascia but...too complicated to share i guess. Anyway, my myofascia pain gets me more than anything I believe.

You're not alone! and I wish you luck.

Smile Cfs/cfids:

Hello: I am new to this program but hope I can shed some light to help you.
I am a 73 yr female.I have the same problem that you mention. I went to yellow pages and found a Dr. for chronic pain. He sent me to anesthest for help. After he saw my mri he suggested the three shots in my spine. I had all three in a matter of about a month. They really helped me for about 3 mos. No pain !!!!wow it was great then I started having pain again so I signed up for another series of 3. I took two and saved the third one for about 6 mos. I have not had another since then and still no back pain for me. God Bless I hope you can find the same relief.
