I am hypermobile too, and sometimes it's hard to tell if a joint or muscle is having problems because I hyper-extended the joint or because of another reason.

Being hypermobile/hyperflexive has made physical therapy nearly impossible for me because the PT's in my area have little (if any) knowledge about it and they tend to cause hyperextension during the stretches and exercises they have me do... it's frustrating.
