Hello to all my fellow fibro sufferers. I have had a rather bad experience with side effects from the newest fibro miracle drug Savella, after feeling great on the 2 week titration pack as soon as I filled the RX the side effects began. Insomnia and awful headaches. These have caused me to miss work and also begin weaning off Savella. Anyone else out there having any similar experiences? I would love to hear how it's working on others.

Hi Texas Gal

Ive never heard of this drug except here. But I'm already having trouble sleeping thanks to very tight muscles. And other issues.

I wanted to make sure I welcomed you. I hope you will keep us updated.

Donna

Hi Donna,
Thanks for the welcome. Savella was just approved by the FDA for use in the U.S about 5 or 6 weeks ago. My doctor and I think maybe the batch I refilled was bad so I am going to refill thru another pharmacy, decrease the dosage to 50 mg every other day and see what happens. It's good to talk or read what others are going through, maybe it with help with the feeling of overwhelm I get so often on bad days. I would love to hear from anyone on how they deal with this disease.

Default A fungus among us

Hi Texas Gal, It's nice to meet you. I've had the challenges if widespread pain since I was 5 or 5 years old-maybe since birth as my mom told me I screamed non-stop for hours when a baby. I agree with you that it is so nice to have a forum where you can share experiences. I have tried almost every type of medication and pain treatment available, and keep coming back to Tramadol (Ultram). It is what works the best for me.

Hugs and encouragement to all of you experiencing Fibromyalgia. (even the name of the disease is ugly-sounds like the name of a worm species or a fungus.
