Maybe I should look again, and see if it has returned?

Where did your friend buy it? Do you know?

Okay, here's my Carotino.

Just uploaded it to youtube. I absolutely hate this arc-soft webcam, I'm saving up for a flip video thing. But at least it came out crisp and clear enough for you to see the color.

Here it is.

Lightbulb

That looks lighter to me. It is about the color of an old bottle we left upNorth over the winter. When fresh it is pretty dark, a rich red color.

Don't know if the white background however, is lightening it up for you. But since you were given it, I'd think it might be on the fringe of getting old.

Notice on their website...the bottle has changed?

It is possible only the beta carotene has been affected...it is an antioxidant after all.

Sniff it... if there is any acrid off odor at all... I'd not use it.
When fresh it does turn the food orange/yellow, eggs especially.

Just sniffed it. It smells EXACTLY like what my olive oil and other rich oils smell like. I used it yesterday on my sprout, grilled chicken salad and it turned the chicken yellow.

SO I SHALL CONTINUE TO DO THE CAROTINO MAMBO!!!

lol
