My bread machine is gathering dust--we haven't used it for a long time! The last few times we used it, the house smelled so good and we were so hungry that we each ate about half a loaf while it was still warm! We decided making bread was a bad idea for the undisciplined. Some of the recipes turned out well, some didn't.

I make my own from time to time. The last box of flour/grain that I bought was beautiful but it was so heavy.

I was just out in the yard about an hour ago and my neighbour said they were throwing out a breadmaker and asked if I would like it.

I now own a bread maker.

No book, but I'll figure out something online I suppose.

Not to muddy the water here but Moi spoiled us by fixing us homemade bread the last time we visited. When I asked for the recipe he laughed....when we got home he sent me this book...

Unbelievable !! Mr.Alffe has it every morning for his breakfast.

I just gave my bread maker to my youngest son and his girlfriend. I can no longer manage the container that bakes the bread......you have to "pop" it out of the holder and it's just too hard. Not to mention HOT when it finishes baking! I'm sure I'll lose a few pounds but that's a good thing.

I know this is an old thread but just wanted to let Koala know that I have found a great packaged bread mix. It's in all our supermarkets here. Called Laucke. On their Australian website it lists the many products.

p.s. ONE major problem I have with this is that I just want to keep eating it.
