Thanks Jo. That's an awful lot of different soft drink sites!

We do have a lime/lemon soft drink that I could substitute for 7up, and we have a yellow and a red creaming soda. The red is a raspberry I think, but I don't know about the yellow one. Maybe I could use lemonade instead?

Now I have to find out how many fluid ozs are in the cans or bottles that Lor's recipes use, so I can convert this to mls.

Koala, There are 12 fluid ozs. in a can of soda pop.

Do you have "Sprite"? You can use that. Acually, you can use any ole soda pop & cake mix mixture, you want & any fruit.

Crockpot Zucchini Bread

I think I should have waited the full 4 hrs - but had to go to the store so i took it out to soon.
looked and smelled good, but sank as it was cooling

so next time 4 hrs

I tried a Microwave Rhubarb dessert- it came out nice and tasty. Didn't have to heat up the oven and was done in 15 minutes +/- vs baking in a hot oven.

i love my crock pot. i use it in the garage. texas heat...i probably wouldn't even need to plug it in.

i'll have to try and figure out the cobbler recipe i use. bad monkey never measures.

i use it just about everyday. i even have a little one. great for those hot dips, but also for smaller sidedishes and for melting choccy!

I just wanted you all to know that this one is cooking in my slow cooker as I speak! I checked out the times for similar recipes, and am using them as a guide as to how long to slow cook this dessert.

DH has a date loaf in the regular oven, and we have a frozen dessert in the freezer on stand by just incase this one fails.

I have guests coming for dinner tonight, so I'll let you know tomorrow how it went.

I'm so sorry your Zucchini Bread wasn't as good as you had hoped Jo, but I'm keeping your recipe and intend to try it soon. It sounds really yum, and my DH loves most things with walnuts!

Thank you Lor for those soft drink dessert recipes, and I wanted you all to know that the chocolate/cherry dessert worked out just fine. I used Sprite instead of Coke for this one, and it worked just beautifully.......in fact it was really, really yummy and my guests were most impressed.

I was going to put the mixture in 4 small individual dishes, but I ended up using just one large bowl which I placed in water in my slow cooker, and then I cooked it for about 6 hours on high.

I had intended serving it with vanilla ice cream, but ended up just pouring fresh cream over ........... and it was just fabulous.

Thank you very much Lor. I can't wait to try another one.
