There's an herb called Stevia which is a natural sweetener. It can be dried and brewed with tea to make it sweet. It's a little hard to find, but it's worth it. I've read that it's 30 times sweeter than sugar, so you don't need much.

There's some controversy though. I think it's still banned in Europe, although I don't know why. For awhile they thought it could cause cancer, but studies have disproven that. It's completely safe for diabetics, and it supposedly has other good side effects, such as good oral health and retaining calcium. I haven't been able to find any this year, but I didn't search for seeds. My stepdaughter loved it when I had her taste it--just like candy.

As for fruitiness, I bought some pomegranate concentrate that is fabulous with tea. My husband is British, so he only likes it with a spot of milk, but we both like it super strong! Personally I hate hot tea that's sweetened, but I like to add a little sugar and lemon juice to iced tea.

I found Stevia at Wal-Mart in the Vitamin Aisle....

Can't remember the cost... My friend was looking for it.

Just thought I'd pass this along to anyone who is looking...

I made solar tea but it was larger then my old gallon container. It was 6 qrts.
I put in about 14 tea bags and the I bought at SAMs in the coffee isle, Unsweetened Razzberry flavor liquid. It does need sweetening. or else over ICE.

I will look for the substitute but true nutra stuff in the meantime.
I like this container, it has the spout on it and I use to use it for family cookouts for Ice tea. Also water in the fridge in the summer.

I have been drinking too much diet pepsi and toooooo much sweet tea.

The last few days I've been making my Sun Tea. Love it. We only add sugar when we drink it with a couple ice cubes in a glass.
