Grin Dear Abby...oldie,but,one of my faves..

Okay, you guys..here's how the game goes..one person writes to Dear Abby..then another answers their letter, and then they write to DA re:
another crisis..

Dear Abby,

I've just won 10 million dollars, problem is..i'm in debt with one of my all-time favorite relatives..Should I give him all of the money,or just some of it?

Oh,favorite relative refuses to take any money..which is really nice, but,I feel really guilty..please advise..

Wondering in the Rock....

Maybe your favorite relative has some needs you can fulfill for him/her. How is his/her house maintenance? How are the appliances holding up in the house? The car? Maybe gift certificates for groceries, going out to eat?

If the relative is truly wealthy and not in need of anything, talk to the relative and find out what charities he/she supports. Maybe a generous donation in your relative's name or how about a scholarship in his/her honor?

I'm sure you know to save money for yourself, and you need no help in figuring out how to spend the rest!!!

Good Luck!

Big Brother in Trouble,

Revenge is always sweet when it comes to little sisters, However you chose to do this, make sure Mom isn't home and bribe the brat with $20!!!

Abby! (out of character)

Dear Abby,

I'm 25 years old, have my own job, make good money, but my parents insist I live in their house until I'm married.

I have been smart and saving the money I would be spending on the rent and all.

What should I do? I really want to have my own place by the river.

Dear Wanting Out of Jail,

Tell your parents you have reached the age of 25 without causing them undue stress (you haven't have you?) and that you would like to live by the river - at that point they will either tell you to go paddle your own canoe or lock you in at night and at that point you will have a basis to sue them for abuse !

Abby

Abby is so smart!

Dear Abby,

I'm a 68 year old female who has just recently quit smoking after 50 years. My doctor says that I am not out of the red for emphysema or lung cancer. Please tell me WHY I quit smoking then!!

Dear Breath Of Fresh Air -

I can answer that question for you, Fresh, as I myself smoked for 40 years and quit 9 years ago - I will tell you that if I thought I was not out of the red I would grab the nearest pack - but then cigarettes are now about $4 to $5 and that gives me pause - that would be why I would quit smoking even now - $40 or $50 a carton is a bit much don't you think Fresh ??

Abby (with relatively clean lungs !)

Anyone else have a better answer ????!!!!!

the abbies here are so good!!!

Dear Abby,

I'm a 4 year old black lab. My people mother thinks I'm very smart, although she says I have a bad habit of jumping on people. My people mother told me I will have to go live somewhere else if I don't stop. What will I do? Half the people I jump on are really friendly people!???

Confused in the jumping arena
