Where would you go in time, if you could go to the past or the future?

yeah I am weird , cause I have thought about this from time to time deb and me talk about it, I would like to see what influenced a nomadic type of people to build massive and architecturally brilliant pyramids and temples, I want to know what prompted them all around same time to take on such projects, not like they had CNN back then
