Numbness after taking Enbrel
Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone can give me any insight into some symptoms I have been having after taking an inflammatory arthritis drug called Enbrel.
Day before yesterday, around 12 hrs after taking my second injection of the drug I started getting tingling in my hands, like pins and needles.
Then when I was trying to go to sleep I kept feeling like I couldn't feel my arms and legs if I kept them still for long enough.. if I moved them even a little bit I would feel them again, so I kept doing that and couldn't get to sleep as a result.
Yesterday the tingling went away but I've been feeling I guess numb in various places in my body, hands, leg, face. Most of last night I had trouble sleeping for the same reason as yesterday.
I went for a short walk today (I can't manage much due to arthritis), and my legs felt heavy, I lost track of them at one point and lost my balance a little bit.
My touch sensations are off, if I feel my head with my left hand, it feels far away from my head. My right hand feels more normal touching my head.
I'm quite an anxious person and this could have been on the back of trying to find out what was going on with the tingling in my hand, and reading about Enbrel side effects, which then matched the other symptoms I went on to have.
I need something to help with my arthritis, so don't want to stop taking this drug, but if this is real then I really have to or things will get worse. Can anyone tell from what I just said what could be the problem and/or how I could tell for sure I'm not imagining it?
