I have a fatal disease, and was never much interested in reading book by others who also have a fatal disease. I imagined that they would be too gloomy, to disease filled, and just repeat the stages of dying. But I was interested in Anatole Broyard's book "Intoxicated By My Illness." When Broyard was told he was dying he suddenly felt liberated, he was free to be whomever he wanted, to act however he wanted. And he wanted to celebrate his dying. He wanted to be alive when he died.
If this strike a cord with anyone with a fatal illness, I recommend it. If it does not, there are plenty of other books on the subject. |

Michael178, not sure what your dying of, but thats not what your asking is it. The best book on dying is the Bible, specially if your dying, theres so much peace, and grace and mercy in the bible. You can be alive when you die and be so happy, if you know where your going and I pray its Heaven. Dont mean to offend you, just letting you know whats the best book out there to read.God Bless You, Tammy72
