Default Meningitus possible cause is a 20 year old csf leak

Hi

I had an attack 20 years ago and used to have leakage out of my nostril upto 10 years ago then nothing until I took meningitus last year and spent 10 days in a coma. They have now found a breach which is the possible source. My problem is that it would take major surgery to fix. A cut from behind one ear to the other. Peel off my face and cut away part of my forehead/skull to get to it then patch it with fat from my leg. They are not even sure this is the reason for my meningitus. A big operation for maybe. Anyone else ever had this. How bad is the surgery. Should I just carry on without it.

I have no idea what to do. I have a 5 year old girl and a wife.

Please any advice or insight would be great

Jason
