Default pins and needles sensation causing scarring on face.

It feels like a needle is slammed into my face, immediate after there is a small red patch that is scared, with a bigger red circle around. The bigger red patch sometimes also start to scar. I also get this needle feeling on my head, shoulders and back but mostly on my face. What could be causing this?

I have been having this for the past two years and been to doctors so many times and cannot figure out what it is. I did numerous tests, blood test and got x-ray for my neck. The result was minimal degenerative change over facet joints. This type of sensation only happens when I eat certain foods and I thought i had autoimmune disease, but it came negative. Then I thought it was vitamin b12 deficiency, but it wasn't that either because I'm still experiencing it while taking b12 tablets. I know it has to do something with my nerves because my MD gave me amitriptyline and it really helped. I've tried everything, but still can't figure out what it is. I just don't know what to do now.

Anyone know what it is or could be? I would really appreciate some input.
