Shocked I need a lobotomy!...

I felt well enough to conquer the world just like 2-3 years ago,and now it's a chore just to check the mail! I'm still 33,well around the corner to 34! But I got ID'd for a video game at Walmart, and it was just one of those MA17 rated ones.I think they must have been more worried about the mature part ,than the actual age! Plus I still get ID'd for smokes. But I feel like I'm in an 80 year old body,I just look in my late teens to early twenties!Act like a teenager, unless it is necessary to act my age!I told my doctor along time ago, that if he wanted me to slow down, than to give me a lobotomy! He just laughed! He said it wouldn't slow me down,it would stop me!I'd do anything to stay away from brain surgery if possible,it too risky, but if it's your only option, then that's another story! Good luck, and I'm here if you need to chat!

Heart

Hi Wiix,

I was thinking, I get the best time of the day when I first get up, too.

I think it's because nerves are rested in the morning.

My doctor wrote that I have Fibro... but I didn't see that she had written that until just the other day.

I don't think I have it.

The good thing was that my doctor gave me a prescription for a shot a day of B12 for a year... and that's been very healing...

though... I think healing is better now that I'm having whey amino acids every day.

(((((((((Wiix)))))))))

I hope things are going well for you!

Thumbs up

Well folks, it's been about 4 months since I started this thread and I haven't been in here much. BUT, I have dropped about 30 pounds and I must say my back is at least 50% better. I am on the first set of hooks on my industrial strength minimizer bras and everything is just shrinking. I have got rid of a lot of my clothes because they just are way too big and have bought some new ones to replace them.

I didn't intend to suddenly drop a lot of weight. It just occurred to me one night as I was stuffing my face with chocolate... "Do I REALLY need to be eating this?? " And since then I have cut out just about ALL nightime eating. I have allowed myself ONLY 2 Sweets a week, maybe 3 but in NORMAL size and proportion. Only drawback to all this is that everything is just sort of Hanging around. BUT I intend to get back to the Y soon and start swimming again and I MIGHT do a little regular time in the gym if it's not crowded. Seems whenever I start working out I get sick and it's ONLY after I have been touching those machines in there. In general people are pretty dirty. I mean their hands. Then you touch what THEY touched and then touch your face ie; eyes, nose, mouth and there ya go, you have caught something and are down for a while. SO here is what I am going to do about that problem. AntiSeptic Wipes. I am going to BRING them with me to the gym and wipe down EVERYTHING I am about to touch BEFORE I touch it. Maybe a can of Lysol Spray too and spray the air and everthing I touch again. I have to do this. I seem to catch just about everything that is going around, especially in Winter.

I still have about the same amount to lose but I intend to do it and hopefully by Christmas I will be down to my Fighting weight.

I do believe NOW that carrying around all those Extra pounds was really hurting my body. I am not as tired as I was either and get by with a lot less sleep.

wiix, hubby and i are gym owners. we sanitize everything and even keep a commercial size bottle ( they have them at sam's) of hand sanitizer for the members to use.

ask them what their policies and routine for cleaning are. if you don't see staff wiping down the hand rests...stay clear.

congrats onthe weight loss!!

I have NEVER seen staff cleaning up the equipment handles since I have been a member there, about 15 years. THAT'S what I'm talking about. I WILL have a chat with someone about this though, you can count on that.

Default I agree

with curious not only gyms, but so msny people with or without are in
them. But if you happen to be in hospital or in PT.,noticed how the clean
crew are keeping the rooms clean, ask questions, what do you use where
could i buy it. ECT. If a accident happens, and say a weak roomate
drops a pee hat on the floor in the evening,is it just wiped up by a teck
by there floor, and let to dry. Speck up and they them you feel the cleaning
staff should be called in after all your sharing that space. If resonable
things ar not down you must report. You when ther to get heathly on go
home sicker.. And oh poor nursing homes.Well !!

Congrats on you weight lost, the less on our feet, the easilar to get around.
good for you. Sue

Oh yea s s. I forgot about my feet. They are SO much better now. And the leg cramps have all but disappeared too.

But I did drop a huge mirror, just the corner, on my big toe about 3 months ago and broke it. The nail turned BLACK and was raised for a while. Just last night the nail fell off in my bed. I FREAKED!!! I have never had that happen before. But the regular nail is or was growing under it. I hope it is Normal and not all Funky like some toenails get. It took me until this afternoon to get the courage up to soak it and get all the dired blood out and off of it but it looks to be normal. Has about another half inch to grow out yet to be normal length and cover the nailbed to the tip of my toe again. YEEHAA!! Now I can wear nail polish again.
