Default Thoroughly lost

My latest blood results came back and this time it was negative for ANA. The first time it was positive ANA 1:160 homogenous. My primary left me a voice mail saying he doesn't know what our next move should be. Kind of disheartening to go through all these tests for 5 months straight and still be no where. Just posting to vent.

I hear you. I am so atypical in everything, and get various test results. Like the Anti-DS-DNA test. Twice positive. Twice negative. Go figure. And what the heck does that even mean???

I've gotten the sort of response you're getting so many times, only I've been getting it for several years now. I'm so jaded and cynical at this point, it's hard for me to be objective.

I call it doctor hot potato. One doc doesn't know what to do with you, so he/she either dismisses you, or passes you off to another doc (who often tries to pass you right back).

Just the other day a urologist told me that he didn't know what to tell me in regards to sudden and out-of-character urinary retention other than to teach me to self-catheterize. Umm.... not so sure about THAT I have to say. What about actually trying to figure out WHY and fix that???

Not on this doc's watch, apparently.

Now I'M venting. But I do know what you're going through and it's very frustrating. I'm sorry you're experiencing this too.
