Default Bizarre CNS symptom, anyone else have this?

Three months ago I had either a strong reaction to a virus or the antibiotic Flagyl (or both), and my CNS took a serious hit w both heavy peripheral and autonomic neuropathy/dysfunction.

But i have another odd symptom... If I over do it (like simply going out for morning), I feel like my insides vibrate, my mind races, then my entire body feels like it has restless leg syndrome. I can barely control the urge to shake my body and usually do end up moving violently. It usually lasts 1-2 hrs and then takes hours to recover and to settle. My feet, which are also the most painful neuropathy, are always the last to settle.

Default Hi nybabymama

Have heard alot recently about that antibiotic and PN symptoms. Post to MrsD, she is very knowledgeable about these drugs which seem to make matters worse. The thing is doctors know about these bad reactions and still prescribe it. If you already had PN, I don't think he should have prescribed it for you. Maybe you need to see a neurologist. Maybe your primary care doctor would give you a referral. Sorry this is happining to you. ginnie

Flagyl is an antibacterial, what were you being treated for? If you were being treated for a virus, this would not have been appropriate.

I had many symptoms of a virus, but it was undetermined what it was. GYN gave me flagyl because he thought I had BV (which as it turned out, I didn't.)

Lightbulb

I explained about PharmaGaba on your other thread on PN.

This over-excitability of nerves will be calmed by this useful new supplement. You should try it. I find it very helpful.

No side effects at 200mg a day. More than that and you might notice sedation.
