Has anyone out there had botox for migraines? I have chronic, daily migraines caused by severe hydro and vp shunt. I had botox for migraines as a last option and I had terrible headaches (even worse than before) for 3 weeks. It gave me some relief, and now it's time for the injections again, but I'm so afraid of the initial worsening of headaches. Has anyone had this?

I've had few migraines but MANY headaches, especially when I was working. My boss bought Ibuprofen for me the way he bought sugar for everyone else's coffee. Some years ago I learned that low vitamin B12 can cause headaches and even migraines. If you have low B12, it might be a part of the problem. I think I'd get sublingual methylcobalamin and try that before I did another Botox treatment. I use the 5mg ones. But, I'm tall and not thin. I was using 5 a day, but now that I switched to organic food I seem to need a lot less to keep away the many symptoms of low vitamin B12.
