Hi all, I am just curious if anybody here has ever been diagnosed with amyloidosis. I am currently being tested for the disease, and am wondering how other people got diagnosed. I am 21 years old, and was diagnosed with moderate/severe small fiber neuropathy a few months ago. There has been no identifiable reason for the neuropathy, but with worsening gastric and autonomic symptoms, my neurologist thinks it is wise to rule out amyloidosis. I have high AST and very low BUN, which apparently are signs of liver damage(I'm not even yellow!). Hoping for answers, even if they are as bleak as amyloidosis.
Thank you, Joe V |
