Default Pain in head for two weeks

So for the last two weeks I have woke up with a sharp throbbing pain in the back right lower side of my head usually over the counter pain killers have been helps but past few days it has got worse the pain killers arnt helping it's there all day and keeps me up at night and today I've been seeing two black spots in my eye any idea what this can be?

Have you gone to the doctor about this, I certainly would do that at this point.
Just to make sure nothing major is the cause..

Livlivliv- I had the exact same thing two weeks ago. I saw an opthamologist right away and she said the spots were "floaters" in my eye. She noticed something with my retina and referred me to a retina specialist. He noted something about the retina but said that it had probably been there for many years. I learned that floaters are usually normal, particularly as you age. However, if they are accompanied by flashing lights you need to seek immediate help as it may signal a detached retina which needs treatment right away.
Good idea to get it checked out.

I agree with what you have posted. Usually floaters are harmless but sometimes there is a serious problem.
