Default Slight numbness in face and upper arms

I posted this in new introductions, and thought I'd also post here.

I have been having some slight numbness in my face, and upper arms.

I can still feel everything. It's just a slight decrease in sensitive, but I do notice the difference.

About a year ago, I had high amount of numbness throughout my body for a week, and then I lost my sense of taste of taste for 2 months. After I had regained my taste and the numbness went away, I had an MRI (It took about 4 months after I felt back to get an appointment). There was nothing thankfully.

The doctors told me it was probably stress. It's been a week or so like this.

But, this slight off feeling in my skin is odd now. I'm worried about going back to the doctor, and spending all that money to find out it's just stress. It's also kinda of embarrassing to be though to as crazy.

Any idea what it could be?

Thank you

I am new too! The numbness in the arms and legs is one of the symptoms I have at the start of a panic attack. Do you think you might be depressed? I would go get a total physical with your doctor and describe your symptoms. The panic attacks I have can last for hours, I actually totaled a car about 20 years ago because I had one while driving on a highway...not fun and they are no joke. Best wishes I hope you find an answer.

Hi IceSkate -- I've been reading some of your old posts (from years ago) and was wondering if you were ever able to be diagnosed? I am currently having some symptoms very similar to the ones you described in the past couple weeks, out of nowhere, and am absolutely lost as to what it might be.

Personally I'm currently having full body numbness that was preceded by a week of lightheadedness. Also some vision changes (light sensitivity, dim contrast, reduction in night vision, etc) Two MRIs so far have come out clean.

Not sure if you still check this forum, but I hope you do!! If so, please reply. Thanks.
