Default Thumb Numbness - After Wrist Surgery

Hi All

I broke my distal radius and chipped my ulna 10/16/14. I had a plate installed wiht 6 screws 10/28/14. The physical recovery seems to be going as normal.

The one issue I have is my thumb (right hand) is numb. It is only part of my thumb the left side from the tip. Also, some residual numbness in palm. Basically the worst part is the tip which tingles when touched. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this.. My doctor says "that should go away"

Well its been 2 months almost so I am getting worried. I hear it could take 6-2yrs to feel normal but could be permenant. Anything I can do to help repair this? Going to ask my doctor for some tests or something on tuesday. Thanks
