Hey, so I've been kind of nervous going into the doctor's again about this issue. It started what I believed to be an inflamed muscle problem on my Teres Major, it didn't hurt or anything but just felt a lot bigger one morning when I woke up. I went to get that checked up and they gave me a prescription to Voltaren to apply and see how that went. I applied it for around 6 days until I got chest pains and stopped using it.
At points there is a slight dull pain on my right rib right underneath my armpit (not a lymph node) which occasionally comes up (mostly when i irritate it?). This went on for approximately a month, reoccuring occassionally. Now I have a slight dull pain on my bottom right back, where my kidney would be? and on the midright part of my body, right above my right hip. Mostly coming up when I'm not active during the day. I was thinking this might because of my lack of exercise or movement these past couple of months due to school and exam studying, I have been a lot more static than I usually am. I would say that I do eat out a bunch too which I have been trying to change now that these concerns have come up. I was wondering if anyone could calm me down about this? I am 19 years old, 6'4, approximately 200 pound, with no major past heart concerns, etc. |

Do you have any arm or hand issues along with this?
Play a lot of computer games , desk work w/ poor posture/repetitive? Some of what you wrote makes me thing of Thoracic outlet syndrome, which we have a forum about. You might explore the sticky threads there and maybe something will be helpful. Could be trigger points - they can cause quite a bit of discomfort.

My right hand has an occasional dull muscle ache on the upper forearm part which I didn't think too much because I blamed it on overuse, however I do spend a lot of time doing deskwork, posture could also use some working on. Another thing that I think might be of relevance is that i always lay on my right side with my right hand supporting my head when watching video's and listening to lecture recordings. I read up on Thoracic outlet syndrome and it does sound like a possiblity, I'm gonna look at the forums right now! Thanks a lot! |
