Talking to my bridge friend yesterday and she's mid 80's, deals with horrific squamish cell cancers that she has cut out and burned frequently over the years but recently stopped having them cut out, the more they were cut out the more cancers grew and spread.
She's one of my friends who never was on a computer and has trusted her docs all her life. Other things she trusted she found out later to be bad info from her docs. These are conventional MD's in her HMO group. She's talked about the terrible nerve damage she deals with and has called it ideopathic, as her docs told her unknown cause. Thinking about this nerve damage issues since I've been here, I had no idea so many dealt with nerve damage..I'm here since femoral nerve damage from hip replacement. So I know for sure where my issues are from. Prior to this surgery I never had any nerve issues. Well, talking to my friend yesterday I brought up all the cutting out of cancers this lady has been thru, these are surgeries as I see it. And I feel too from all this surgery work, nerves have been damaged...and her docs don't know why she has nerve damage!!!! Then she admitted she believes the nerve damage she deals with is from 30 yrs on statin drugs...I just about fell over...I had no idea she was on statains and that many years. Well, it's most likely from cutting out cancers and statins....the nerve damage she is challenged with. So I went off on my "rant" about the cholesterol myth and how important cholesterol truly is.... I went on and on about chol and pharma drugs. Went back to my parents times and they lived into 90's and cholesterol was NEVER mentioned in their days. And they ate everything. Weston Price Foundation is huge on cholesterol myth and oils in general, the need for good oils, and traditional nutrition. This lady had no clue, she has never been on computer and trusted her MD's all her life. And I can only imagine how many more "older" folks for sure who fear cholesterol. So this morning I googled: books on cholesterol and came up with at least 8 books and tons of links on the cholesterol fear etc. Can we ever learn too much?
