Default Pseudotumor cerebri

Howdy,
I posted this in the new people section too.
I've been living with pseudotumor cerebri since 2000. Hated diamox and had an LP shunt placed. It's been working fine until recently. Now I am going to have a VP shunt placed soon. I know the medical part about the procedure, but have some questions about the human part. How much of my hair is getting shaved?*What was the healing process like? I am also having a spinal fusion done at the same time, so I'd like to be as prepared as possible. Thank you in advance,
Michelle
