Default Prolactin secreting pituitary tumor

Didn't know where to post this. My friend's daughter who is 17 years old has this tumor , it's 1 cm big and on the MRI imaging they also see blood within the tumor, which is not so common, that's what my friend found out, but they didn't say to them anything more about that. The girl started taking some medicine ( 2x a week ) which should shrink the tumor and lessen the level of prolactin in her blood, so she can eventually get her period ( that was the reason they saw a Dr. in first place ).
Anyone with any experience ?

I don't have any personal experience but it is probably a prolactinoma (a noncancerous tumour of the pituitary gland).

The information here might help your friend and her daughter; http://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-info...act-sheet.aspx .

Hello,

No personal experience but I had a friend with this who was treated, got balanced AND went on to have healthy babies.

There is hope!
