Hello all, I hope this message is to the correct place. I am a 22 year old male who has been experiencing uneasy symptoms for the past seven months. I have seen two separate neurologists so far- with no specific diagnosis made.
This whole ordeal started with constant twitching in both legs. Because I am a hypochondriac, I panicked and thought i was experiencing ALS onset. I went to a neurologist who did an EMG/NCV on my legs, as well as a clinical test. Both came back clear aside from brisk reflexes in my knees. I also suffer from a constant tightness in my left calf. There will be some days where this tightness feels better than others, but it always remains to some extent. I also experience leg cramps from time to time, but again only on my left side. My left arm seems to fatigue extremely quickly and my bicep also cramps up upon use. My joints constantly pop all over my body, and I feel generally fatigued throughout the day. Neurologists did not notice any sensory issues during their clinical tests. I am at a loss for what I am experiencing. I am hoping this is only BCFS- however the constant muscle tightness only in the calf seems to make me think otherwise. Also, I do not often twitch in my left bicep, but it seems to fatigue and tire anyway. I am hoping someone else has experienced something similar to this- and can give me some insight. Thank you in advance! |

Hello Kiwi, thanks for the nice welcome! I wish none of us had to be here, but hey, at least it is a positive resource to help Interesting take to consider Restless leg syndrome. I'll give it a look, but I feel my symptoms seem to be more body wide rather than only specialized in the legs. I also have recently had trouble breathing and a perceived horse voice- but i'm doing my best to ignore that and chalk those up to health anxiety. Can't seem to get these ALS thoughts out of my head, but thank you for your response!
