Question What alternative approaches to Eczema do you know of?

My son has exzema and is using a steroid cream which he finds worrying but necessary.

I just tried to look exzema up on the web and wasn't having much luck finding alternative approaches.

So I thought I'd ask here...

Question

Well, I forgot to put in "alternative" when I did my searches.

Once I added that I got a lot of possibilities.

Does anyone here have any experience with any of the alternative approaches to Eczema care?

Default Eczema

We have a grandbaby who developed eczema and through trial and error have discovered that the root cause of the eczema is due to a problem with his digestive and immune system. We have discovered that he cannot tolerate any dairy, sugar or soy products. Putting on cream is only a band-aid. We've read so much concerning eczema and are seriously thinking that antibiotics and vaccines might be one reason so many people now suffer from this awful skin condition. Your son might do better if he were to discover what foods triggered his eczema.
Hope this helps. Good luck with it.

Boy, I stopped checking this topic, so I am very glad I got the weekly notice of posts...

Thank you for telling me that.

Appreciate it, very much.

Yes, I sure agree with you about investigating food triggers...

Help

Karen

also a good idea for all laundry detergent etc and body soaps to be free of all perfumes, dyes etc as that can also add to the problem

best cream IMO is good ole zinc oxide based....

and yes, most often there is some kind of food or environmental trigger...my son is VERY sensitive to chlorine...cant go in swimming pools and we have shower filters too....
